Until I read this book, I never thought about the meaning of the term “catch and kill.”

American journalist and Pulitzer Prize winner Ronan Farrow has written a fascinating story about his experience as an NBC reporter, researching and writing the story of film producer Harvey Weinstein and his decades of alleged assaults, rape and abuse of women.

Farrow takes the reader along on a wild ride.

As he works tirelessly on the potentially explosive story, it becomes more and more obvious the network is not going to ever air it. Farrow ends up taking his story to The New Yorker, since The Peacock Network determined the story “did not meet their editorial standards.”

Of course, later on, it’s revealed this had more to do with protecting NBC Today Show anchor Matt Lauer, who had a long history of harassing women at NBC.

“Catch and Kill” is narrative non-fiction at it’s finest. I thoroughly enjoyed this compelling book!
